What is Amla oil?

Amla oil is a traditional herbal infusion where Amla extract is mixed with a natural base oil, such as coconut, sesame, or sunflower oil. In India, it has been used for generations as a natural beauty product: for hair care, scalp massage, and skin care. Amalaki literally means “the pure one,” and in Ayurveda, Amla is considered one of the most important herbs for maintaining natural shine and radiant skin.

How to use Amla oil?

For hair:

  1. Warm a small amount in your hands.
  2. Gently massage into the scalp and distribute through the hair.
  3. Leave on for 30 minutes to several hours (for intensive care, leave on overnight if desired).
  4. Then wash out with a mild, natural shampoo.

Use 1-2 times a week for a well-groomed look and shine.

For skin:
Apply a few drops to cleansed skin. Gently massage in with circular movements, especially around dry areas or fine lines. Can also be added to a face mask or body oil.
